The Zipcar business model (hourly, generic, internet car-rentals) provides the opportunity to explore a self-serve, mechanically stacked parking prototype.

The idea of the elevated parking structures is not new, but because no specific car is assigned to a Zipcar member when a reservation is made, the need to sort the vehicles as they move up and down is eliminated.

We envision our prototype parking structure as a giant PEZ dispenser, doling out cars in lieu of candy.
